Are there any costs to me?

When selecting a managed plan, there is no direct cost to you. The funding is automatically added to your plan and paid for by the NDIS. Your other funds are not affected.

Are there any benefits in Plan Management?

Payments are managed for you by the provider. You do not have to worry. You still make the decisions concerning your plan and invoices are paid with your authority

How do I arrange my NDIS Plan to be managed?

This is generally decided in a meeting with your Local Area Coordinator. You can change your mind at any time, even after your plan has been approved or during its approval process. Plan management will be automatically funded in your plan if you request this option. Plan management takes the financial and required audit control burden away from you.

Can Innovative Quality Care Manage my NDIS Funds

Yes. If you have a new plan, contact us to become registered either by phone, email or online registration. If you want to change Plan Managers, you will need to advise your existing Plan Manager and tell them that you wish to change. We can then commence a transition process in conjunction with your old provider, with minimal disruption to you and your supports.

How do I submit Invoices to be Paid?

Innovative Quality Care can be invoiced directly. We will seek authority where necessary from you for payment. Out of pocket expenses can also be reimbursed to your nominated bank account after sending us a receipt.

Am I Eligible for the NDIS?

  • Under 65 years of age.
  • Are an Australian citizen, permanent resident or New Zealand citizen who is a Protected  Special Category Visa holder.
  • You have a permanent or a significant disability that requires assistance from other, assistive technology or equipment.

There are also early intervention eligibility requirements for children.

  • The child is under 6 years of age and has a developmental delay AND
  • Your child or you have a disability that is likely to be permanent or support would help to reduce assistance that you or your child require in the future.

How much Funding am I able to access?

There are no specific set amounts allocated and provided for NDIS participants to access. Each participant’s funding is assessed on a case-by-case basis. The NDIS uses a tailored and customized approach to provide for the participant’s reasonable needs. The participant’s goals and required supports to achieve those goals are also taken into account.

What is an NDIS Plan?

This is a formal document that describes the funded supports that a participant receives from the NDIS. It is based on the participant’s goals and the required supports to help achieve those goals.

Will my carer be available when I need them?

Given sufficient notice, it can be scheduled for your preferred carer to be available. If this is not possible, another qualified carer will be arranged to assist you, as long as you approve them.

Am I locked into a contract?

No, you are not locked into a contract. We are a flexible service that offers as much or as little care as you like, on any day and at any time that you choose.
